I'm going through my checklist of things to look for on a pre-owned 450h and the body VIN labels came to mind. Now that Lexus blankets the entire engine bay with plastic I'm wondering if VIN labels should be present on the fenders still? What about on the trunk, should there be a VIN label there?

VIN tags are visible in the following locations:

front fenders (roll back weatherstripping on each side near center of engine bay)
hood (center near leading edge)
front door (open door and look on edge)
rear door (open door and look on edge)
rear fenders (need to remove access panel in trunk)

I haven't looked but expect there to be one on the trunk deck as well under the carpet and panels.

There should also be one right under the main windshield on the driver side.

Can someone take a peak at their trunk and verify if a VIN label is also there? I checked out a GS which looks promising but I couldn't find a VIN label anywhere on the trunk.

I did see the VIN by the windshield and all doors and hood.

sorry to rehash this post, but can someone tell me if the passenger side doors also have the vin tags? Thanks in advance

yes, tags should be on all 4 doors, hood, front and rear fenders. Anything otherwise points to repair or replacement. The pictures I posted were actually on the passenger side.
