"Loaner Car" in service record????

Default "Loaner Car" in service record????
What does it mean when they put "Loaner Car" in the service record of the car?

I'm assuming it's either means that they gave the owner a "Loaner Car" while their car was being serviced, or that the car was used as a "Loaner Car"?

What do you guys think?

Gave a loaner car to a person while his car was in serivce.

thats a good way to put it and explains exactly why i'll never buy a pre-used loaner car
