Default Opinion please 300 or 430

I know this sounds dumb but I am looking to buy an 06 GS430 but almost impossible to find a good one in Arizona but there are a few 300s out there. I really love the power of the 430 but the 300s are cheaper of course. Is it worth it getting the V6? Would I regret it?

i would 100% wait. when it comes to buying a car compromising on something as big as engine size is def something you'll end up regretting.

also you should def consider taking a trip out to california and driving the car back as there may be a greater selection out here.

Yea 300's are slow and at this point not reliable, 430 is a proven engine I would defiantly consider 430 if you have the extra funds for car and gas.

430 all the way for me as well. Find it in california, there are plenty. Try craigslist.

430 all th way. I found mine 1000 miles away from my home. Flew out and drove it back. One of the best road trips ever.
You gonna shell out 18-23k , for that money you better be happy with what you getting. Know what you want and go for it.

any 3gs aside from the 300, they're the oldest and it's almost 2013... you'll definitively regret it

i love my 300, but now i want more power lol... with a 350, you'll be getting way more power with the same gas mileage as a 300... and the 430, v8 duhhh lol

Patience is a virtue, especially with a Lexus GS430!
Don't worry, check internet everyday and one will pop up.

(FYI, I couldn't find 1 out here in NM)

My 300 is plenty fast enough for me. 99% of the time I'm just driving around the city under the speed limits anyway and they are the best of the 3GS when it comes to fuel economy particularly in stop and go.

For a while there I thought I should have got a 350 (would have cost quite a bit more at the time I got the car) but after a few years I find myself no longer caring and admire the style and ride more than anything.

My 300 hasn't given me any problems really. The only thing you have to look out for is the same for only direct injection cars, they will need a top end cleaning every 60,000 miles or so which costs a couple hundred dollars to get done properly. Lexus did the first one under warranty for me... given my driving habits the car is going to be a piece of junk in every other way before I need to worry about it again. Not that big of a deal.
