I have a 2007 lexus gs 350 awd, and when I drive over a bigger bump, the rear end makes a knocking noise, took the car to the local mechanic and he said I need rear struts. the car only has 55k miles on it, is that normal? He showed me the rear struts and they are blown, they are leaking oil. Another question, what brand of struts does lexus/toyota use? If its KYB, I can get a pair on line for $112.00. Or should I just buy them from lexus, I get 25% off, and they are $220.00

They are kyb i believe. 112 seems like no brainer. Its a pretty basic procedure, most shops can do it.

yea I wanted to know for sure if they are KYB. Because I dont want to risk putting in different struts and have a bad ride.
