Have You Tried This Tire
How's it going. Looking at replacement tires for my GS300. I read a lot about the Michelin Pilot and Bridgestone Turanza being the favored tire.
I've read some good reviews about the Cooper Zeon rs3-a. Has anyone tried these on their GS?
Thanks.

Actually I'm reading reviews on the Conti DWS now. Seems like the Conti DW and DWS both have good reviews as well. I actually like the tread pattern of the DW more. Also the DW is probably what I want since I don't do any driving in snow to get the DWS not really sure how much of a difference there is between both other than tread pattern.
I am really looking for a tire with low road noise and smooth riding tire. I curently have Yoko's on my OEM 18's which are on my car now, and I've had Hankook's on my 17's. Both these tires have lots of road noise and grab every grove in the road.
But I also would prefer not to pay $1400 for Michelin's or Bridgestone's. The Conti seems like a good value in comparison to the first two brands.

Just paid ~$950 installed at my Lexus dealer for a set of Conti DWS. Noticeably quieter than the stock Yoko Advans, and nicely smoother ride, especially over Botts dots and expansion joints, etc.

Thanks all. The only other question I have based on different opions in the tire reviews, is about the difference between the DW and DWS.
I know the DWS is an all season tire (dry, wet, snow) and is my understanding correct that the DWS tire offers a better ride with longer tread life/wear, 540AA, wheras the DW is a summer tire which offers a stiffer/harder side wall, ride is not as smooth and tread life/wear is decreased 340AA?
I don't drive or push my car hard to wear I am turning corners at high speeds or anything like this.

I put on a set of the DWS last year and I couldn't be happier. They are much quieter and smoother than the stock Yoko Advans.
And yes, the DWS sidewalls are "softer" compared to hi-perf summer tires, but IMO, the smoother ride more than makes up for it.

Yes DWS has a longer tread life, one thing you give up for the DW being more of a high performance tire. The DWS is actually a great handling tire and you cant go wrong with them. I would only do DW as I know how I would drive the car.

Tires
I have replaced the Yokohama tires that came on my 2011GS with Michelin Pilot AS Plus and I am unhappy with the way the car handles now. These tires do not seem to be as stiff as the Yokohamas and the car is not as responsive.
I have read threads where the Continental Extreme Contact DWS or the Bridgestone Potenza RE 970 Pole Position have been recommended.
Can anyone comment about how these tires perform compared to the stock Yokohamas?
Thanks!

My car came with brand new DWS Continentals. Although I don't have basis for comparison, I must say the tire is outstanding in my opinion.
Good in dry and wet weather. Nice and quiet on the road as well. Not too harsh. I will go with this tire again in the future. Price is good too from what I see.
