this looks sick!!!
anyone heard of this?
basically a mirroring system to allow full control of either android or iphone thru your OEM head unit.
only question is will a HDMI to composite converter box work with the gen4 nav units?
if this would work on a gen4 nav i am going to be super pumped as this is a way cheaper alternative to swapping out my gen4 for gen5 and waiting for the vaistech android system to come out.
anyone heard of this? any idea if this would work?
and here is a link to the company who makes/sells it:

yes, i've heard of it, and no i wouldn't spend all tat money for android system Wait for the vasitech, this system looks like you'd be in for more than you bargained for.
There's raw wires you'll have to solder, i did the reading and research into it, and it doesn't look pretty. Aside that no one's done it on the GS yet so you'll be forever lost without any true knowledge of tuning on the screening system

ya the only problem is the vas tech kit won't work on a gen4 nav
i am however considering buying a nav unit from a 2007+ but its quite an undertaking so if this was a cheap alternative that was going to be great news.

Looks promising, actually. Looks like something an experienced audio shop could install easily if you didn't want to do it yourself. I'm in the same boat as you. Taking my 2006 3GS overseas and need to find a navigation solution since the OEM system won't work out of the US. I may give this a try.

i'd really only want their ML+ system or the one they are making for android.

I bought one of the 2 very first units, where there was ipod/video only or video/audio only. I just rigged up a zune dock to run the whole system. Will post up pics later (you can use an actual remote to control the zune for music & videos!).
I forogt about your gen4 dilemma tucker.... Like the guy above said, any EXPERIENCED auto shop can rig it and integrate it into your nav-enabled system for you
