Default Squeaky Driver's Seat Leather

For folks with a 3GS after the refresh, your driver's seat should have these metal accents on both left and right side near the shoulders:

The right shoulder side of mine has been making this squeaky noise whenever I move in the chair (may come from bumps on the road, etc.) and it's really getting on my nerves. I can reproduce the same noise by pushing on the cushion/leather near the metal piece or pushing the metal piece directly. This doesn't seem to happen to the left shoulder side.

Does anyone have the same problem? How can make it quiet again?

Same problem here! I put tons of leather conditioner in between the plastic part and leather, but this will only last for about a week and noise is back again. Extremely noisy and never find a way to fix it permanently.

This noise is even louder than my sunroof noise.....

Have you tried having the dealer fix it? I've tried leather conditioner as well, but the result was disappointing as you said.

Seems to be a solution! Dealer will never fix it for me since it's the problem of the design...

Mine squeaks too... The wife was convinced that it was because I need to lose 10 pounds.

LOL your wife is funny. But back to the topic I have the same issue with my GS please let me know if you find a solution it annoys the hell out of me since I am a person who don't like hearing any squeaks coming from my car at all.

What's that in dollars? 16 something at today's exchange rate?
It's as well she didn't suggest losing 14 pounds, 'cause then you'd only need to get rid of a stone.

Maybe it isn't the leather that's "squeaking", but something else - like last night's chilli con carne?

Chilli con carne sound is more like the rumble that the Primacy HP tires make
Or at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Default Krytox silenced squeaky leather

Found this thread as I have an extremely squeaky 1993 LS400 front seats, both driver and passenger. I used some Krytox (Dupont Kry-gpl215-5 Krytox 215gpl Extreme Pressure Grease 5 oz Tube) and it silenced the squeak. It will not harm leather nor plastic as it is an inert and very stable compound. Hope this helps someone on this forum. Just Google and you should be able to buy it easily online. Get the grease tube and it works really well!
