Default 3GS brakes

I'm in need of new brake pads. Before I make my purchase on swells, can anyone recommend any other brake pads that may be better than the factory ones. After about a week of driving, my front rims are completely black from dust. My roommate is running a aftermarket pad on his 2IS but they have horrible feed back noise. Just looking for different options.

lots of options/choices as they've been discussed here many a time... Do a search and you'll find numerous threads and occasional heated discussions. One brand to definitely NOT pick is Wagner. Otherwise, read people's reviews and go from there.

Good luck

Lexus replaced the pads on my '07 GS for free a couple years ago after I (and apparently many others) complained about the dust. The replacements have been virtually dust-free. Obviously updated oem pads are a viable option.

OP For you issue there is Akebono Pro act ceramic brake pads that can be found on tirerack.com, I have used to without any issues, but I like my low dust OEM brake pads instead. Which are available on sewellparts.com.

@yotokata

I had the same problem and i went with a brand called AKEBONO..from advanced auto parts..i figured they were good because they were like 105 for just the front and all the other ceramics were like 40. The reviews were good so i went with them. So far im pleased.. NO dust which was why i hated bout the oem.
Im getting them put on my rears this week .
