headlight lens swap question
so i was looking into changing my lenses, and I read up that TSX-R lenses are compatible with my 3GS... question is, are these a direct bolt in? or does it require modifications
we have a retrofitter in vancouver canada here, that quoted me $480 for labor, if i supply the lenses and only if it is a direct bolt in application

well the 3gs has pretty crappy light output and the cutoff is horrendous
so a few people on here have swapped the lens (the bubble looking thing) for an acura TSX one, which uses a clear lens

If I get my hands on a spare set of lights, I will tackle the full TSX projector swap. I used to do them in 07-09 Camrys. I just wonder how will they will fit with the auto-level and AFS, Below are some of my custom TSX projectors modded. The light is just brighter, more even, and more colorful with the TSX projectors. What sucks is that the bulbs on the stock projectors mount sideways in the reflector bowl, this doesn't make it easy to mount a tradition rear bulb mounted projector into the housing and be able to change the bulbs....

so does anyone know if swapping the OEM lens to a TSX lens is a straight forward swap??? or does it require some modification of my headlight housing to support it?

You will not lose AFS just swapping lenses. You can lose AFS if you do a full retrofit with different projectors, and dont mount the new projectors with the AFS system.
