Default Gas Mileage Reset

I might have missed this in the "stickies", but I have an 08, is there a way to "reset" the MPG with out filling up the tank...

Thanks!

I dont think so. My 98 LS 400 had that option along with a Tank AVG, but the GS doesnt let you do it for whatever reason.
In reality, you should only need to know tank average, unless you must know your immediate highway or city MPG.

I gotta say, if by half tank I am in teens, say 13-15, I stop caring and have some fun with a few WOT here and there. Anything past 19+ and and try to baby it, curious to see how it all ends.

On my 2011. Hit the "DISP" button on the steering until you're at average per tank and hold the button for a couple second until it zero out.

I was given an 09 ES350 as a loaner, and I could hold the DISP button and it would zero out, but my 08 GS will only move to the next display option, it will not reset... I was hoping some of the guru's had a "secret" sequence on here that might work...

I do have a "real time" MPG display, but with my BMW, I could reset the avg display so I could see the MPG if I was doing a trip but did not refuel before I left...

Apparently the 08 GS will not allow this to happen...

You have to go into the info tab and click on I think the travel in something like that, and it should be in there, sorry I'm not in my car but just look at the owners manual it should be in there.

Yes I believe you can reset in the travel info in the info tab. It tells you the avg. mpg since fill up and I recall seeing an option to reset.

The only option there to reset is the avg miles per hour... NOT per gallon...

Apparently there is no way to reset this value...
