Headlight lens peeling/flaking Garax bulbs and ijdmtoy LEDs used
So I finally got some time to work on the lady's gs350, did front rotors and pads, and oil change. I dont really see the car too often, but as I was putting the car on jackstands I notice that the headlights are peeling. I don't know if it's a clear that's put over the lens, but it's flaking off in some areas and the drl's as well. And it's leaving foggy areas. Only thing I could think of is the recent headlight bulb change, and prior to me changing them were no issues I even have pics while I wa changing the bulbs. I replaced the stock bulbs because one burned and I ordered from ijdmtoy, pair of Garax 6000k and some of there led bulbs. Im thinking the bulbs are too hot and causing the clear (if that's what it is) to start flaking, because that's the only thing that has changed since they were normal. The foglights have factory bulbs and there normal no flaking. Doesn't look good and I hope I don't need new headlights.
Anyone run into this?

Personally I don't think it is the bulbs. I think in order for it to peel like that due to heat, it would have to get super hot. I doubt 6000K bulbs are pumpin out that much heat to do that.
With that said, do you park the car outside? Long exposures to sun can do that. I've noticed in the past 10 years, car headlights and paint haven't held up that well when long exposures to sun.

My 2006 doesn't have these issues but I only just moved in October to a new house where I have to keep it outside... previously always garaged underground.
I usually go ahead and put a layer of sealant over the headlights when I'm done polishing the car (but I don't use the porter cable for that part).
