Default Luminics Halogen Yellow fogs melting my lenses

I'm running a set of Luminics Halogen Yellow fogs. These are #9006 12V, 55W, 13 W. I notice these bulbs get very hot and my lenses are now warping. Has anyone else had a problem with these bulbs melting their fog light lenses?

Thanks

have or would you consider upgrading to HID's? If so its what I would suggest. Our vendor XenonDepot would be my suggestion. Pretty sure I read another member having the wires and harness melt from the 55w bulbs.

Your car is very picky with what bulbs or kits you use. Either way contact Steve @ XenonDepot and he can give you some options depending what your looking for.

55w should be standard for a halogen bulb. even the stock lexus bulbs are like that.

Never heard the melting of the housing but I know the Nokya yellow fogs I had before where way to hot, I think they were 75 watts, I never had a problem and they would steam when it rained. I had a wiring harness so it wouldn't melt the wiring. I will say Im glad I changed them cause they would scare me. yeah stock is 55W as he said ^

my bad guys I thought it was 35w? I still suggest going HID and losing the 55w aftermarket bulb.

any of the local vendors can supply you with an HID kit.
