When I was driving home I saw a buick lacrosse from behind and it sure look like it has the 3gs design cues.

All cars look the same. This one does look a bit like 3gs. But I cannt be mad at Buick. I am actually glad they finally came out with something nice. I hope they make it and hope the company lives on for another 100 years. Wish I could say the same for Olds and Pontiac.

If you look around a lot of the newer cars resemble the GS

I agree that Buick did mimic many of the design cues of the 3GS, but that's where they stopped. Something of a sheep in wolf's clothing, kind of like the Solstice.

The American car makers are now taking design cues from Japanese and European makers and interrogating in to their new models here in the U.S.
It's about time they change their look and style from the past to keep up with the competitors.
Personally, American wouldn't be my first choice...but, don't get me wrong. I'll wouldn't mind having a CTS-V or a corvette Zr-1.

The 2012 LaCrosse V6 now makes over 300 hp. Not sure how the straight-line performance stacks up with the GS350 though, although it has got to be somewhat close.

The TL Rear lamps and exhaust tips are similar but, I'm talking about the roof line to the trunk and overall shape look similar to the 3gs. This is what I fell in love with on the 3gs...plus the quad lights.

What's sad is the Lacross design is closer to what I was hoping for the 4GS instead of what the plain rear end of the actual new 4GS.

Lexus does not get enough credit for their influence on design. The new Buicks look great, the Lacrosse looks terrible with the stick 17s but with the 19s looks tons better. Its a good looking car with the 19s!
