Default New Owner GS 350

Traded in the 2007 ES 350 and purchased a 2011 GS 350. Quite a bit of difference between the two cars. GS feels so much bigger and stiffer.
I took some pics and the car windows are untinted so I had them tinted.
I hope I kept the picture sizes small enough.
I have to say that I have only been driving back and forth to work and have put less than 500 miles on the car. It is still very tight which I guess it will loosen up with mileage. So far 18-19 mpg going back and forth to work, but that includes idling in the drive way while I have my morning coffee before work.

Congratulations!
Looks like we both purchased the same car in the same time.
I love the drive of this gs, but I preferred the normal tires to run flat to get the kind of road-feel I like.
Don't know you, but many times I wondered whether to wait for the 2013 with newer safety features, but then again it would have been more expensive and I can't warm up to the new design. To me, at least on pictures, it looks very odd, with nothing original to it.

So far so good (120miles).

Good Luck. You have wonderful taste in cars.
I am still debating about the run flats.
Should I try to work a deal and go 18" wheels and new tires? It's a tough decision, driving in Philly every day on lousy roads? The run flats are kind of stiff, but, like the rest of the car, I am wondering as the chassis breaks in a little more if the ride will loosen up.
I find you comment about the 13 interesting, as to me, the performance numbers aren't all that different, it's just a new design with a lot of buzz. Maybe not, I don't know all that much about the new one, I just figured they (Lexus) would be interested in clearing the lot for the 2013's arrival.
Good luck with you new GS

Very nice. Congrats!
I just picked up a 2011 GS350 as well. Was thinking of the 2013 but it's too hot out of the oven right now and I will have to pay full MSRP and pretty high APR. Got a huge discount on the 2011 with 1.9% APR so it's a no brainer. The 2013 is nice but it's the same engine and transmission. Just a lot of electronic manipulation of the powertrain and suspension to make the drive feel different. I got to test drive the 2013 F-sport when the lexus rep bought a couple into the dealership for show. While the interior is definitely nicer than the 2011, the power response is about the same. And although it's subjective, I definitely dig the 2013 front end. The back is too much like the IS and the side is a little hard to get used to. I love the side profile of the 2011 but the front is a little boring and outdated. Looks very much like a 2000 Avalon. Again, I got a great deal for the 2011. I'll wait a little longer(2-3yrs) and see if Lexus update the powertrain of the 4GS and maybe trade in the 2011 for it.
But overall, it's a very nice car.

Hi bone215,

I can't tell you what's better for you. I personally favor comfort over sporty handling. I new York the roads are not any better than Philly, thou.
I suggest to ask the dealer to test drive other GS' with different tires and see what you like. That's what I did.
