My Little Mods
I'm quite new here but it seems like this part of the forums is dead now. Anyways I'd still like to share my car and a few little mods I've done to it. It's nothing major, just lighting for now. Photos are taken from my cell phone as I don't have anything better than it right now, sorry about the quality!
Parking Lights
Changed to an amber led off ebay. Pretty bright for parking lights!
Amber(L) - OEM(R)
Close up amber
Close up oem
Both amber
Parking lights only
Parking lights with low beams

Reverse Lights
OEM(L) - LED(R)
LED(L) - OEM (R)
Both LED
It really is this bright in person! And to think I was going to get another one that was brighter than this. It wouldn've been overkill

Trunk Lights
LED vs OEM
The oem is much much smaller and I had to adjust the metal connectors quite a bit with some pliers into V shape to hug the new bulb. Didn't get a chance to take a pic of it before I put it back in the housing.
LED
It's not too bright, but definitely lights up the trunk enough to see everything (in person) compared to the OEM bulb that only lit up half the trunk. I plan on adding some additonal lighting to the opposite side and placing two 12W7s or 10W7s in the middle, so the two lights would be plenty enough light for half a trunk.

I don't think it was a new one? I received the letter about it back in May, but never had the time to drop it off. All I know is that the previous owner never had it done and that it fixed that cold start rattle. If you're having that issue, you could just call and ask. Another option if you don't want to talk to them is to go to mylexus.com and create a login, add your vin, and check if there is any recalls active for your specific car based on your vin.

Was changing the air filter and cleaning the air intake and throttle body earlier and decided to change out my door courtesy lights. Went from 2 little LEDs to 12 SMDs with a few adjustments. The difference is insane, but here's some pictures.
Original housing with the middle part shaved a bit. Thought that I could get away with just that, but it didn't work.
My dremel skills are lacking, but got the job done. Cut a line on the bottom and top to get some extra room. Shaved off some grooves and here are the results!

New LEDs are easily 10 times brighter. With the side doors open there is no dark gaps between them. I'm highly satisfied with this 1 dollar mod.

Ebay. All of my lights are from ebay with the exception of the Osram Fogbreakers I ordered through Nigel-jdmparts.com. To be honest, I wouldn't order through them again unless I can't find a vendor for the jdm visors. Nothing bad about them, it's just I prefer order confirmation and shipping confirmation much quicker than what was provided. If you want links to the lights I bought let me know

Great posts!
If you could provide the links that would be great.
Actually just recently purchased mine and looking to do some LED swaps on the car.
Great to know someone from Houston as well!
