Default HID Choices for Low Beam

Ok so as it says I'm bored and trying to do some little mods for winter, Im trying to see the differences between the bulbs out there, there is two seperate choices that Im looking at. This is the first PUTCO 5000k D4S bulb. http://www.amazon.com/Putco-230410SW...099459&sr=8-18

The second one is probably my choice, its morimoto Xengreen D4S from retrofitters it has close to the same output as the stock OEM but a little brighter. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...oducts_id=3180

I already ordered the Philips Utilnon 6000k Flash White. Waiting for those but I want backups as those cost a lot and want to know if there is something cheaper other than Garax with good output. All opinions are welcome and thank you in advance.

i'd go with the morimoto xengreen just because it's cheaper at $60 (as opposed to putco at almost $100). if the bulbs blow, you'd be out $60 only ($100 for the putco). but that's my opinion.

Well I ordered the Morimoto and still waiting for my Philips to come in. Will do a comparison and will probably use the morimoto first then put the philips on in the spring to summer. Thanks for your advice.

Suggestion. When you compare, it's good to shine onto a white wall from the same distance and take pics of how they illuminate the wall.

Bought a pair of Philips d4s #42402 from eBay for 140.00 for the pair. My oem bulbs were not projecting grea t light and the passenger side bulb was going out more and more. Lexus wanted over 320.00 installedand the service advisor knew I was handy, told me to doit myself. And advised to stay away from chep chinese bulbs even if they say made in Japan because they are not produced in japan and don't last ( fact or fiction...i dont know)he also explained that as the bulbs near end of life, they burn hotter causing a thermal regulator to shut them off...hence the headlight failing and then working again. The old bulb had black inside it on one side and the other side it had a white blister in the glass. I replaced both bulbs and am pleasantly surprised as the headlights are much brighter and whiter with stock oem replacement bulbs. It was a bit of a pia to change them myself but an glad I did.
