Hey guys just picked up a 2008 GS 350 AWD
I might be a Noob to club Lexus, but iv'e been an active member of bimmerpost for the past 4 years.
I started off with a 2008 328i coupe and then got a 2011 335XI coupe. As much as I love BMW's I need something with a smoother ride and more interior room. So here I am.

Just a few question,
1. How can I lower the driver's headrest? It is obvious on all seats except the drivers
2. How is it in the snow? We had an IS250 AWD in the family and it was pretty good in the snow, i'm hoping the GS350 AWD is just a good if not better (i have Continental All Season Tires)
3. The adaptive headlights seem to only be turning left but not right. On my 335, they would turn 30 degrees to the right and 15 degrees to the left.

Sorry for the long post, enjoy the pictures of my past cars and the new addition
White 3 series coupe - 328i Coupe with just sport package
Blue 3 Series Coupe - 335XI Coupe fully loaded
White GS350 - my current vehicle

Congratz and welcome; i noticed you purchased it in bay ridge lexus. How much was it? Headrest goes down if you move the seat forward automatically or by pressing the button located left side of the headrest closer to the middle console. Afs move a lot to the left and very slightly to the right some people dont even notice it moving to the right. I live in bk my self and last snow storm we had i went through places where suvs got stuck.

Hey,
I've noticed these cars are hard to come by especially with low miles. Once i saw that Bay Ridge Lexus had it, i came in on the same day to check it out. It was a lease return with 35K miles on it and has the navi, back up cam, front and back sensors. The only option missing is the ML sound system. The selling price was $27K + $3k to certify it (3 yrs 100K miles). With taxes and fees i was at about $33K out the door. The sales experience was good, very patient and honest sales guy (Marcello) this is our 2nd Lexus from him. We were returning a IS250 lease which had about $2k in body damage which they waived and paid our last month of the lease. I would consider the deal a steal for what its worth.

Only issue is that I am not happy with how they inspected the car. They missed a lot of things that need to be replaced or fixed, i'll try to get in end of the week to get it all sorted out.

congrats and welcome to clublexus!

1) for the headrest, if you pull the seat forward / backward, the headrest will adjust. but you can also manually adjust it. look at the 2 poles for the headrest and particular the one closer to the middle of the car. right beside it, on the seat leather, you will see a circle imprint. if you push down on that, you can then adjust the headrest manually

2) no idea on the snow, sorry...

3) it moves to left and right. on the 3gs i have heard that it's not as "obviously", but they do move. and it does move less when turning right. i am not sure if it moves as much degrees as the bmw though

Yeah, I would like to see the response to this one too.. He seemed very much aware of the differences in BMW and Lexus.
