Exactly my thoughts... There would be no reason for anybody to change your bumper, grille, mirrors, seats, rims, steering wheel, etc.

This is an '07.

I would call a lawyer ASAP.

And keep us posted and good luck sir!

this is just bad. pretty sure that's 07, a lot of the parts you just can't "transfer" from 07 to 09 body, at least doesn't make sense. i am leaning towards thinking someone transferred all the stickers (including the ones on the door jams) from an 09 to 07 and created all the paperwork.

please do keep us posted. but at this time i think it's best to get lawyers involved. when you said dealer i guess it's not lexus dealer, i would definitely be careful and have a lawyer with you when talking to the dealership

Ok what I would do if I was you if you know a cop you can them have check the cars vin numbers thoroughly, I manage an impound lot and when theres a discrepency on a car we have a sheriff come down to check out the car they check the vins they check manufactures dates on all thevparts like the seat belts, I think on the back of the glove box theres a bunch of other places that has this info, and like somebody else posted run the vin thru the dealer see what colors are supposed to be on car and options

What if the car is a 2009 that was totaled and had 2007 parts replaced for cheaper??

No its more likely the opposite. A 2007 that was totaled, and then to avoid a salvage title he put a 2009 VIN plate on it. Maybe he bought a VIN plate from an overseas market totaled 2009 model and then put the plate on a US 2007 model.

Since the totaled 2009 would be an overseas car that VIN would have no negative history on carfax.
