Default Dealership Mistake

So I recently upgraded from my IS250 to a CPO 08 GS350. In my deal I had chrome OEM rims that were curb checked on all 4 wheels. So I had the dealer refinish them and get them painted black. Chrome was never my thing.

When they had the vehicle they couldn't do the chrome rims in black, so they had to swap the rims for some alloys and paint those.

Should i be upset that they swapped the rim style? I'm guessing the new black ones are considered "blades."

Let me get your input...Thanks. Love this car, much greater than the IS250...
sorry the pics were taken with my phone.

no need to be upset..its all what you like. Some people like the "blades" better just like how some would prefer the chrome. Anyways, congrats on the upgrade and new car!

With the 08 you purchased, you have the correct style on your car now. The chrome ones you had before were on the 06-07 models.

it's as simple as which one you like more, then you can decide what to do. if you ask the rest of us, then it's just our individual preference

and i like 08+ wheels more

But to be honest, you had then powder coated or sprayed in black definalty not my cup of tea there. I would of kept them in stock color.

yeah i had them refinish it in black, only because the original chrome had curb rash on all 4 wheels. i'm fine with the swap...

Have you thought of spacing them out for a more aggressive look? I am not encouraging this because I've had bad experiences with vibration, but they do make the car sit well! I had 20mm Ichiba V2's on my stock 18's. Lowered on Eibach springs

Check them out!

I agree with everyone else. The 08+ wheels look much better imo. Congrats on the new car.
