Wow! Everyone is running 20s!!
I'm back'n forth between the 19s and 20s VVS083. I'm a little concern on the 20s ride comfort. Anyone know if it's a huge difference on ride comfort of the 20s compare to 19s?

i have had 19s and 20s on my gs400, then only 20s or larger from that point on, including my gs350

honestly, to me, rides are about the same. more important is the tire brand / model choice. you choose a wrong one and it's horrible 19s or 20s, you choose a good one and it's always on the smooth side

@1Sick, did you have to do any fender mods with that fitment and drop?

Mike@Vossen, what exhaust is that on the GS? And what fender work was involved for the setup? Rolled and anything else?

What is everyone using for torque on the lug nuts on their Vossen? Any reason to go beyond the 76ft-lbs of the recommended in the Lexus manual?

76ft lbs is a standard for most vehicles. No need to go more than that.

Yes I shaved my fenders front and rear and removed the rear lining. I am lowered 2" and being a hybrid I have a 300lbs battery in the rear. I used a dremel, took my time and did it myself and then sanded the fenders down.

Stock. See above for fender questions.

Mike, I don't want to be negative but I'm curious and hoping you have an answer.

Your car is mostly stock except for wheels and a drop. Right?
I watch My Ride Rules often and everytime there is a mostly stock car, it doesn't get high scores from the other contestants. But there seems to be a mostly stock luxury car in the pack frequently. Did they talk to you about that? Anything about the mix of cars they select?

Here's my '11 AWD on VVS083.
19x8.5 frt 19x10rr. 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 for tires.
Yes, I need to lower it. BCR coils coming. Thought I would post these pics on stock suspension anyway in case someone wants to know what 19s on stock suspension look like.

Hey I think I mentioned it in the car chat thread. I'm still surprised by it, I am by no means the most modified GS at all. It was a mix of the car and personality of the person so I guess my personality helped out in the try out video Also I am the first Lexus and the first Hybrid on the show as they also seek out diversity with vehicles. Other small mods are
-6000kHID
-led parking lights
-3000k Fogs
-Aerotech yellow film
-black pearl emblems
-Blitz Carbon Fiber grill
-Jun 4 piece BBK

So yeah it can't be b/c I am modified. When you see the episode, you will note my GSh has NOTHING in common with the other choices.

Wheels:
VVSCV3 - Matte Graphite
Front: 20x9 +38 w/ Hankook Ventus V12 245/30
Rear: 20x10.5 +45 w/ Hankook Ventus V12 295/25

Suspension:
Eibach Pro Kit (#8285.140) ~1.5" drop all around

I had to shave about half of the rear fender lip from where the bumper meets to about 5 inches up.

I also wanted to make a big shout out to both Chris and Andy with FXAutoDesign for their great customer service and quick shippment of these wheels! Very good experience with this purchase!
