Yes camera is HARD to tell the truth, especially, the color output.
It really depends on how do you set up your camera.
Camera always try to compensate the whole pic, the trick is to take one shot with both light source equally distance to the camera. So one side OEM and the other is Philips and take one shot right in front of the car seeing both OEM and Philips at the same time.

It's glare and could be the camera adjust for the darkness so any source of light look like the sun. 6000K reflect very well so all the road signs and markings with reflective will show up great, while hard to see everything else. This is why 4300K OEM is the best.
I am really curious to know the differences between these and GARAX that a lot of people speak highly of. The price difference is like 3-4 times different.
Are the philip that much brighter and better to warrant the up to 4 times price differences?

Well, here is a quote I got from HIDplanet, the so called experts in HID`s:
"They are expensive due to VERY low production levels and demand (pushes up the price) more than what is inside the arc chamber."
By the way, how much for the 5000k philips? How many lumens the 5k has vrs the OEM? Is 5k really that much whiter?
i couldn't wait for the group buy so i just went ahead and paid $299 for it from nigel yesterday.......you pay what you get!!!! you go cheap now don't complain later!

I wouldn't mind spending $299, but what I do mind is spending $299 and getting similar result as GARAX or those fake. If it is actually is brighter, gives off higher lumen and broader light, that would be awesome.
But if it is not much more different than GARAX or those fakes in terms of brightness (give or take 10%), OUCH!

Well the Garax are mostly for looks and the visibility really isnt better than stock but, (from what I've heard) The Philips are brighter and also give that look. I know Batman spoke of this before!

No Offense, is like we are comparing Kia V.S. Lexus in here.
Garax is a China/Taiwan Company, targeting Japan as their selling market.
Stuff are either made in Taiwan/China.
Philips is from Germany, stuff are made in Japan/Germany.
Real Japanese items won't be selling out of Japan that easy and available anywhere. Such as PIAA, REAL Japanese company as well. Their stuff are not easily find in the U.S.
