Default Anyone regret the Valve Spring recall fix?..........

My Lexus dealership called me last week and Said that my GS350 should get the Valve Spring recall fix done. Also, another re-call (can't remember what it's for, as I have had this car into the dealership more than any car Ive ever owned).

Anyway, it seems to be running fine and was wondering if anyone out there regrets taking it in for the Valve Spring Re-call?

It's not a big deal. Just do it and move on.

there is a lengthy thread somewhere..
i didn't like the idea of taking my engine apart w/ less than 30k miles, but my car feels the same.. no complaints here. don't risk it, get it done..

I didn't get it done. I have heard good things about it getting the fix and a couple horror stories. A recall runs the life of the car though so they have to fix it for you when ever you want. I just hate taking my car to the dealer. All in all you probably should get it done but its a very small % of GS that have issues.

I thought recalls had to done in the factory warranty period.

At any rate, I wasn't going to do it but the service reps talked me into it. No issues, car runs fine and feels like it did prior to surgery.

Cut Throat- Got mine done in Maplewood. They did a great job, no issues. They filled the gas tank as well. Not sure if they are still doing that.

yup and keep in mind all recall work should be free! dont let them try to force you to pay anything. tsb work is the only free work you can have done while its under factory warranty

I got it done. I like the full tank of gas, the car wash, the loaner, and snacks and drinks.
