Default Replacing Sidemarker lights

Has anyone replaced thier front sidemarker lights? I just replaced my HIDs and parking lights. I had to turn my lights on and off three of four times for the passenger light to come on and the passenger parking light just went out too. Then I noticed the drivers side marker light is out. Looking for DIY if it is not too complicated.

What side marker lights, the GS doesn't have side markers from 06-11 I thought is there a change somewhere! Unless your talking about the front indicator lights, they are hard to get to, but they are an easy DIY, if you have never changed them then its gonna be heard to twist them, there should be a DIY on here do a search!

The manual calls them side marker lights. This is for the amber stripe in the headlight unit. I did a search and could not find any DIY. Will look again. Thanks.

i think he is talking about the sidemarkers inside the headlight housing, those are hard to get into, unless there is a thread of how to DIY, but i havent check. i saw some nice gs owners smoke out the housing so. check that out too.

If you are having problems replacing the amber marker light inside your headlight housing, please read this. It is very easy to access it without completely disassembling your car.

I hope this helps someone else because I couldn't find the answer to this problem anywhere.

As much time as our Japanese friends took designing these cars, I thought, they just couldn't have made it as hard as it appears, and it isn't.

I have a 2007 gs350 and just replaced the right side marker light. Ten minutes tops for me next time!

O.K., after removing the side engine cover to gain access, look for a plastic "tab" that sticks out at a 45 degree angle. It actually looks like you would push down on it to release a latch or something. That's the light! You don't push down on it, rather turn it counter clockwise about a quarter turn to release it. The light bulb is on the end of that tab!

In case there is any misunderstanding about what I mean by "tab", it is about the width and length of a butter knife blade. The blade only. It is about 3 or 4 inches long and sticks out at a 45 degree angle from the light housing at the exact level you would expect the light bulb to be when reaching for it when your hood is up.

The only thing you have to dissassemble, is the removal of the plastic engine cover, other than the light itself.

I hope this helps someone.
