Default Fogs on without lowbeams?

Has anyone figured out how to wire the fog lights to be turned on without having the lowbeams on? I would prefer them to be able to be ran without the parking lights, but if thats whats available, then Im fine with that. I know the IS guys have done it......anyone with a 3GS?

mmmmmmmmm
i dont know and i had the same question.. thing is that my GS is american spec and cant have fogs on without low beam,,(imported from US)
what i noticed that all GS in my country which i dont know what specification ,which are bought from the loacal dealer can have the fogs without turning the lowbeam on...
i think that this is just some personalized setting only, i dont think this is wiring work..

It can be done but I hate electrical and would like to know if someone has already done it. It's been done by the IS crowd, so I'm surprised no one has written about it here. I will try to pass by the dealer and get some wiring schematics if I can and ask a friend. Hopefully someone can chime in before that happens.

This was one of the questions I was going to post..... I want to do this so I can add diff. mod to my car, previously I owned 2nd gen. GS and I know there were lot of members who had done this to 2nd gen... check out the link (http://bananags.grantham-internation...GS_DIY/FOGMOD/) it shows how to do it, and I was thinking to follow the same steps assuming that this could be the same for 3rd Gen. too... if some one can figure this out n tell us DIY that will be very good so we can add this mod to our Lovely GS's.....

should be the same concept but the wire colors are probably different.

I know how to do this, Just a different way with a relay powered by the ignition with a external switch or depending on the signal coming from the factory switch itself. If the oem switch activates (sending a positive or negative signal) we can tap off that to trigger the fog lights

finding out the polarity of the fog lights should be easy with a multimeter.
I can get more into details with Relays if you guys want me to draw it out but you will have to run new wires to the each side of the lights including 1 relay.

PM me and I can draw something up and send it over to you.
