I can't imagine what it would be like to merge onto the highway with a 0-60 time of 10 seconds.

No. But I would consider getting a CT as a second car (not brand new though) if I were to ever start doing any big time commuting. Unlike the general sentiment, I think they're sharp for what they're supposed to be and I'd love to have a luxury hatch that isn't european.

I don't get it. It's a hatch. It's front wheel drive. It does 0-60 in 10 secs. It's not fun to drive, and it's main selling point is that it gets 40mpg highway. You could get a Ford Focus or Honda Civic hatch for a lot less money and you'd get better performance and mileage that's close enough. Or you could get a Golf TDi and get 65mpg and better acceleration.

I don't get the point of buying a prestige hatchback. Feels like you are throwing money down the drain relative to buying a non-prestige one.

i still wouldn't buy it though.

after going from smaller v6's to larger faster v6's, I can never go back to 4 banger.

maybe i'll change my mind when we have 100mpg cars.

Please take some of the statements with a grain of salt. I've driven the CT, it might be slow but is quite nimble and sportier than the GS, even if its FWD. 42 MPG is a huge leap over a GS. I love the gauges that can change and the interior which has a German look. The rear is very cramped, not completely sold on the looks and it is slow.

It is simply a completely different car to the GS. Quite frankly the small size is appealing, easier to park, its a hatch so I just wouldn't worry about scraping it and door dings etc and the cost of maintenance will be very low.

no i wouldn't. but its not a fair comparison, cuz most will rag on the CT200h here.

I don't know. I went to the CT200h event in midtown Atlanta and drove it around for a bit. I found it to be pretty dull compared with my GS, and I'm not sure it could beat the 0.9G+ cornering ability of my car. GS460 is way sportier than a CT200h.

I did drive a Mini John Cooper Works and that did bring a smile to my face. So not all hatches are dull.

Honestly if thats what you want then sure, look at the bright side you will have a brand new car, definatly one of the few on the streets, and 42 mpg hwy.
