Hi, I have a GS450h, I believe it is similar about the transmission. I have over 100k in my car but my local shop said the transmission flush has to be done in the dealer? How much does it cost if you would know.

Thank you

dude, The GS450h has CVT Transmission and not the same with the GS350.. Why don't you just make a quick call to a Lexus dealer..

This thread inspired me to garb my 07 350RWD with 120K. Car has been running like a dream. I will continue to take care of it as the OP has.

Thanks all for the nice comments. I am a car guy who always dreamed of once owning a nice car and a nice garage to park it in. I enjoy my toys and my hobbies!

It is an epoxy floor that was bought at our local Lowes. It is my second application and the clear coat is a must along with rubber mats under the tires. If I had to do it a third time, I think I'm going to go with the rubber checkered squares. I really have no desire to paint it a third time.

The wheels are 19 8.5 front 19 by 19.5 rear and a 35 offset. Those wheels are not currently on the car as the car out lived the wheels. MRR doesn't make the 19 by 9.5 anymore so the set was taken off the car. The story will be below.

No need to respray the bumper at this time. I have no major scratches or cracks. The third 3mm bra is on its last legs and I plan on replacing it in the next month or two.

Thanks for bringing my thread back from the dead. I really have neglected to update anyone on my car as I've been slammed with work and life. They just get in the way sometimes!

Hello Everyone!

Sorry for not keeping this thread updated. Work and family time kind of take over and I've been busy to say the least. I have been uploading photos over the past few months with the intention of showing you guys the status of my car.

To date, I currently have.......Drum roll............292,324 miles!!

Like I said before, she is a keeper!! I couldn't sell it now if I wanted with that many miles if I wanted.

Last time I updated everyone, it was business as usual. I've had ZERO problems with this car to date! Nothing!! How many other people can say that with nearly 300k on the clock? Lexus continues to impress me mile after mile.

Let me start where I left off.... The 200k mark.

Those miles added up quick.....

I'm not going to post pictures of the maintenance intervals as its the same thing I did at the last 100k. I will make sure to post pictures of what I am doing at 300,000 miles. I should be there by the end of October.

At the 300k, I'm replacing the BC racing coilovers with a fresh new set. I have a leaking front coil so it's time and it doesn't ride as tight as they did new back 120,000 miles ago. I got my moneys worth and I will stick with them. Great coilovers and I highly recommend them! Getting a new clear bra (4th one on the car) and I'm going to replace all the fluids once again. Everything!

Look for an update soon!

The two things that did fail on the car where once again, aftermarket crap! I wish Lexus would get in the aftermarket game, then everything would last forever.

The first thing to fail TWICE in two months was my front camber kit! It locked up and made an aweful noise when you turned the wheel. It was a sad sound and I needed to find an alternative fast.

I forget the make of this camber kit but it was so much better than the last. It replaces the entire upper control arm. It's been a while since it was installed so i'll have to look it up.

The second thing to fail on me was my rims. I really have no idea how the bend ended up in my rear wheel as I never felt anything to warrant the bend in the wheel. I think after almost 200,000 miles, the wheels where done!

That was the first time I ever had to change a tire while out on the road. I was lucky enough to be working on base at Ft. Bragg so my customer came to the rescue with a proper jack. It could have been worse!

That funny yellow spare didn't have hardly any pressure in it. That was something I overlooked and thank god, I was where I was as I had it filled up. Check those old spares people!!

Nice color!

After some research of a good strong dependable wheel, the only choice for me was a Vossen. I ended up with the CV3 19 inch setup staggerd. I am not a huge fan of the color as I think it needs contrast. I plan on having the inside of the spokes and inside the wheel painted gunmetal. That's the spring project....

Nice progress!!!! By the way how do you get to that trip info screen? I primarily drive my LS and the GS is the wifes car so I haven't gotten into the guts of it yet. I'm getting ready to do the first oil change though.

Congrats! and Nice Pics..

(I've been following this tread for a while) and I was wondering you said you had absolutely no problems to date. I've been looking for another daily car and I've shied away from most 3GS models because a few active recalls.. Have you experienced any issues or had these recalls performed (Cam Gear recall, Engine Valve Spring recall) those are the two biggest besides the latest Fuel pressure sensor recall?

Thanks

Hit the "INFO" button in the center stack and then hit trip information. That screen will appear.

My Lexus is current on all recalls including the last fuel issue. No problems what so ever after the recalls. Lexus made a mistake and took the necessary steps in correcting them. I had the gears and springs done so long ago. All is well. The 3.5 engine is built so well. Why do you think they still have this same power train in todays cars? They know a good thing when they see one. Add a few extra gears and go with the same reliable 3.5 and call it a day.
