I wasn't mad about the mileage, the gas, or the bill.... just mad that Lexus isn't the brand it used to be....

but it strikes me funny how I get emails and phone calls from the dealership to assure that I check every excellent box in the Service Survey so that Lexus can say they have the most satisfied owners.

Aside from having cut up hands and fingers from doing the actual recalls I myself find the engine vibration to be reduced significantly.just that it involves allot of labor, glad all your cars are good after the recall.

Leo, do you know if there's an ECU update being performed along with this?

You don't have to check those boxes just because they ask you to do so. Aren't those surveys used to evaluate the individual dealerships instead of Lexus as a whole anyway?

Has anyone had/have any engine noise on their GS350(slight noise vibrations on idle or when stopped) and when driving above 25-30mph engine working louder(revving noise)
Could this be because of the valve springs?

Those box's aren't for the dealership, but for the writers themselves. They get a bonus along with their paycheck for having 100% CSI. If I'm not mistaken, it's a BIG chunk of change. But one bad review, and the entire bonus goes down the drain. So no matter what kind of service you receive, they still want to make sure you check every box the right way...

Screw that. If the service is bad, then no one deserves a bonus.

My thoughts after the valve spring recall service (completed early September) have just improved. Got a letter from Lexus today apologizing for the recall and offering to extend the powertrain warranty to 6 yrs/100k, and as a gesture of customer loyalty a coupon for $1,500 off any Lexus vehicle good for one year.

Do you think the BMW 335 owners whose vehicles just got recalled for their fuel pumps (after a four year ordeal trying to get something done) will also get a letter of apology, to say nothing of an upgraded warranty and credit towards their next purchase? I think not.

No--service was normal. Letter came from Lexus HQ and is dated 10/18. It says I will be getting further info from Lexus Financial Svcs about the extended warranty that will now apply. Coupon also enclosed labeled "Loyalty Certificate" and is good for $1,500 off any new/or new lease Lexus for the next 12-months--after making my best deal wit the dealer.

Thumbs up 6 year 100,000 miles warranty

Did anyone received the 6 year 100,000 miles warranty just for the inconvenient of the recall? The letter also included $1,500 off a new purchase or lease as well. The certificate states," Negotiate the best deal first. Then deduct $1,500." Man... Lexus is a cool company. The certificate last until October 2011.

Did everyone get the extended warranty with a $1,500 certificate? Just curious. I can post the letter and the certificate. I hope everybody received one.
