Cheapest Lexus Extended Warranty Found!
I've seen mentions of three sources of discounted Lexus Platinum extended warranty contracts on the Net in the past:
Troy Dietrich of Toyota of Greenfield, MA
Toby at Lexus of Shreveport
Jerry Johnson of the Midwest Superstore Toyota in Hutchinson Kansas
For the plans that I considered Jerry was the cheapest source, $115 cheaper than the next cheapest source (Troy).
I just paid $1,550 for the zero-deductible 7 year 75K miles Platinum plan. My car has only $32K miles after almost four years in service, so more than 75K miles would be a waste. This price is a significant discount from the list price of $2,350 shown on the Lexus Web site -- http://www.lexusfinancial.com/consum...=pg_VSAPricing
NOTE that the prices above are for the GS450h. Prices for the non-hybrid GS models are a few hundred dollars lower (I have no idea why since the hybrid components are covered by the manufacturer for 8 years / 100K miles).

Do you have any idea if these US dealers sell extended warranties that are valid in Canada? I know you probably don't but it would save me some contacting.
I know that the factory warranties are valid in all of North America, but I can see them being fussy about selling additional warranties to cars registered across the border which would be a farce.

Is it worth it? Is it only cover the none breakable stuff?
Forget I asked... if ODO is the age of the car, my car will soon become Great Great Grand Parents of your car. No warranty dare to touch this old dragon.

"expect teqr" ??? Is that included or exclude from the coverage? But those stuffs are "breakable".
Bulbs and oil change I can do and the rest is what I want the warranty to cover. Like an average person, I don't have the know how or tools to change belts/brakes/rotors/etc.
OH well, I guess regular insurance will have to do.

Certain belts are covered by most standard and extended warranties. Others are not.
Not sure what you mean by "regular insurance". Do you mean the Mechanical Breakdown coverage from your auto insurance company? I know Geico offers this rider, but I'm sure it will not cover wear items like brake pads and rotors either.

It's not this way for all manufacturer's. Volkswagen warranties, for example, are based on the car's current mileage and age, and start the additional years / miles on the day the warranty is purchased.

I just went with Jerry too... I have to say that I am surprised that a 450 warranty is cheaper than a 430 warranty by ~$300. I realize there are more cylinders, but the electrical systems would seem to balance that out.
