Default Does a CPO warranty transfer?

I'm hearing mixed things.

If person A bought a CPO GS 350, does the warranty transfer to me if I buy that car from him?

Let's say it doesn't transfer.

I've been told that when you take the car to the dealership, they don't look at registration to see that the owner has changed. They check the VIN and see that the car is CPO and there's a warranty....will that work?

Hello
Not sure how cpo works but i have extended warranty and yes they check by the vin#. But you also get a booklet under owners name thats states what kind of extended warranty price paid and things that are covered under it. Now for instance if they give you a hard time about warrantieng something it will be harder to deal with if you dont have that booklet. Also my extended warranty is transfarable.

Default CPO Warranty

If the CPO warranty is like the original new warranty you would need to have the previous owner sign a document for transfer and you would need to submit to Lexus financial services with a fee of $50 for the change of documentation. If you do not have the transfer documented you might have a big problem when or if something major breaks down. The warranty should be in the name of the owner of the vehicle.

It clearly states it can't be transferred if sold privately.
