The grill comes right off as posted above, the speaker screws right out and I used some elmers house glue and a q-tip to apply it.

that is just a dust cap to cover the coil for the speaker...it is glued on when the speaker is manufactured, so glue will work fine. They do sell "speaker" glue for that purpose.

Any chance you could post the above pic one more time? Trying to fix the exact same problem on mine, and I'm having trouble getting to the dust cap. How did you get past the mesh part that's blocking? Tried lifting up the entire (plastic) assembly, and then realized it's all one part..
