Is My Moon/Sunroof Broken?
Ok, I've had my 06 GS430 for a few months now, but it's just now warm enough in Utah to actually use the sunroof. However, I think something is messed up.
(Yes I've read the users manual, and my sunroof and sunroof buttons do NOT act the way the manual says it does).
I'm having a hard time closing to sunroof after it's been opened. I press the close button, and even hold it down for a couple seconds to automatically close - just like the manual says, but the sunroof will not close. I have to basically time it perfectly (release the close button) in order to get the sunroof to close right with a proper seal. If I hold the close button a millisecond too long, the sunroof starts to open again. It's especially annoying when I'm merging onto the highway, and I just want the darn thing closed but I have to sit there timing the "close" button perfectly to get it to close right. It's an accident waiting to happen. I've had lots of cars with power sunroofs and none of them did this.
Is my sunroof broken or is this really working as intended?

The way you explained it something is wrong with you're sunroof. If i press and hold open button for less then a sec and let go its start automatically opening. If i press close button before it has fully opened its stop and if i repress it and it will close automatically. When its fully opened i press and hold close button for less then a sec and let go it will close all the way. So i am assuming something might be wrong with you're actually Close button.

yea sounds like you just need to reprogram the sunroof. hold the open button and the sunroof will slide all the way open. keep holding the button then it should slide back to close. that should reprogram the auto open and close. you may have to do it a few times before it learns but it only took 1 time for me to do mine.
