Well guys I purchased the following setup last year staggered 20x9 & 20x10.5 Vossen VVS082 Machined Black with 255/30/20 Front & 275/30/20 Rear Nitto Invo's.

I did not like the look of the rear wheel/tire. The 275/30/20 looked over stretched on the 20x10.5 wheel. Also the lip had no protection. So I took a leap of faith and decided to upgrade my Rear Nitto Invo's to a 285/30/20... I've seen very few running them here and no one I asked really knew the answer to wither or not I would have issues with rubbing.

Just had them installed today car has a lowered look now. There is no rubbing under normal driving but decent sized bumps do cause the tire to hit the outside lip of the fender (plastic) this is also with no passengers in the backseat.

I must say though the Nitto Invo 285/30/20 is much better than the 275/30/20 as far as looks go and lip protection. "

My question:

What I wanted to ask that if there was a way to lift the rear end .5 inch to maybe give a little more leeway for bumps and passengers..? Also what would be better to drive in Sport Mode or Normal Mode for suspension? I have it in Sport Mode seeing as it would stiffen up the suspension..

As soon as its nice here I will clean her up and get some decent pics..

are you on stock suspension? if you are, you have no way of raising the rear end. your only solution would be trim the plastic tab. if you hit a bump, you will rub - your suspension setting doesn't really help either way.

i am on stock suspension.. someone was saying that i could use a spacer...

Its been storming here all week.. Supposed to be nice this weekend I will wash it and get some pics..

I guess if I have to... I'll drive more cautious..?

spacer? well correct me if i'm wrong, but a spacer pushes your wheel out more towards the fender does it not? you would have more rubbing problems, not less.

Should I even be worried about it? A few rubs here and there? I only use them in the summer.

should be ok, but i would shave the plastic tab a bit just to be on the safe side

If you are at stock ride height I would say stay close to the specs for the stock tire. 285/30 is way to out of spec. I had a 255/30/30 in the front before and loved the way it looked but my car is dropped and I had rubbing so I went back to the 245/30 (even though the tire is overloaded)

all you need to do is have alignment shop set up the rear with a little more neg camber
