I have a 2006 GS300 Awd that at 70K miles has developed rattling sunroof. IS there a TSB out there for the rattle? Sounds like it is coming from the back of the roof, not the front wind diverter.

Any help is appreciated.

is this with the sunroof open or closed? I only experience this with my sunroof open, but when it is closed im fine, but maybe because I only have 40k on my 06 gs? hopefully i dont have this problem.

I just experienced this 2 weeks ago,not sure if it's the same one you guys hear but mine was like a cricket sound but wasnt too bad, I just pressed down this metal bar inside and it stopped ever since lol. Maybe my experience was different.

I noticed if I close the shade it goes away. Seems to be some bracket up front just above the center light cluster. Mine rattles wiht the roof closed or open now. I assume the track is loose?

I'm getting the same thing, its hard to diagnose because everytime I bring it to the Lexus dealer it seems to go away. It squeaks open or closed, but more when its open. Also, kind of related, my passenger seat vibrates a little when on the freeway (whether its on smooth or somewhat bumpy pavement), anyone else getting this? Obviously you won't hear it when a passenger is actually sitting on the seat.

mine rattles when the shade is open.

so if i close the shade, it goes away.

same here, seems to go away for awhile if I clean and lube the tracks and seals

It rattles when it's tilted up and it squeaks (probably just need to lubricate the weatherstrip) when it's closed for me.

mine also rattles is the metal piece in the front when i close the ceiling panel it goes away i just turn the radio up

I had the same issue. They fixed it for me at Lexus and I dont think they had to remove the headliner. My rattle came from the rear right corner of the assembly was loose.

I have to say this lexus has way more rattles than I thought a 50k Lexus would have. Stuff like this is whats going to make me look at the M37 for my next ride. My infiniti didnt rattle more than my GS and it was lots of fun to drive. good luck

the rattle monster came back. My sunroof rattle when closing the door. Has anyone have this kind of problem.

My car is 07 and doesnt have rattles. I just close the cover.

The sunroof shakes?! Oooo... My windshield creaks when I go over bumps sometimes... Is that normal?

its such a shame that the 2nd gen GS drove rock solid. and our gen GS is so fragile.

i hope the 4th gen is better.
