Please post pictures of your setup and reasons for going with either the 6000k or 8000k.

I personally would go with the 6000K, because from the usage stand point the 8000K looks good but you can not really see under the poor weather condition.

I have 3000K fogs but oem HID. The yellowish fogs provide enough contrast to the oem HID, in my opinion. The oem color provides the best illumination, for a fact.

I will go with 6000K if I have to change the headlights for safety reasons.

no but they come with hid lows and yellow fogs. unless you are trying to prove the difference between 6000k and factory 4300k vs 3000k yellow and stock yellow halogen

I think 6k low beam looks great with 6k fog.

Why do you think lexus and the new high end Toyota's have moved away from yellow fogs now..
they even have projectors now in there fogs these days..

Neither. I left stock 4300K HID lights on low beams. I installed HID kits 6000K into my highs (after de-activating the DRL), but they were way too blue and not bright enough, so I changed them to 5000K.

look is nothing more than personal taste imho. on my gs400 and is300, i loved the hid with the yellow fogs, that was like a "symbol" for lexus back then. but fogs imho aren't for fogs anymore, more like another form of lighting these days. some people like white fogs, some people like yellow. it's just about personal choice

but saying yellow fog is gay, that's a bit out of line

Some people don't like the oem HID because they think it's too yellowish (not white enough). Since the 3000K fogs is really yellow, the oem fogs will look fine/white in comparison.

Haha, Aussie has different definition for gay.
