i own a 2006 gs300 awd does anyone know if i can update my navigation system yet? is there a new disc or something i put into my car? and how much would this cost?
does anyone know the sewell price on teh GPS map update disk, I have an 06' also with the original disk?
Thanks!
Why can't you just check out the Web site? I bought mine from them a couple of months ago. Use the "clublexus" discount code and the price drops from the $199 MSRP to something around $175 I think.
I have the 9.1 in my 2007 gs350 and all i basiclly noticed is that u dont have to press I agree thing when u start the car no more. Other wise basiclly the same everything just updated maps that i haven't really noticed. I barely ever use it.

The res on the 07 is better than the 06 because of the newer generation 5 hardware that's in the 07. I don't think upgrading the dvd improves the res at all.
What I would love is if they would do a software update so you have a bar at the bottom of the screen which shows what song you are playing, and the climate settings. Infinitis and BMWs have something like this and it is very useful.
when will they have an update when the gps is in 3d like bmw and infiniti's?
Never. That's a major functionality change that the hardware of our Navi unit (e.g. the graphics chip) may not be able to support.
Also, since the hardware on the 2010 and later models is very different from the previous model years, there's no incentive for Lexus to make such major expensive changes to our software even if they were feasible.
