Re warranty......at least for my 2008 GS 350......in Dec 2010 when Lexus had the spring valve recall they changed the warranty (for consumer confidence) to 6 Yrs or 100K miles.

I would think this would include this mirror problem?

I am correct here?

if you use the drop down box by your left knee, you can select the mirrors for left or right. if you have it set in the middle (ie neither left or right selected), the mirrors will not tilt.

I ask a friend that is a svc advisor to check for me and there is no current or past TSB for the power mirrors on the GS350.

The problem is with the stripped mirror gears, even the positioning associated with your memory seat settings are now incorrect. This has been a nuisance for me for a few years well now, I am just shocked more people have had this problem. I thought I blew a fuse or relay or something.

I just notice that my 07 GS350 barely tilts down so I will be taking it to the dealership. I guess I'm happy I purchased Lexus Platinum Warranty so I pray it's covered.

I would like to know if I could get mirrors with the side markers if I pay the difference?

my 06 GS300 driver side mirror also stopped tilting down and i got it replaced under the platinum VSA, so yours should be covered.

if i remember right, the total [warranty] bill for the side mirror assembly replacement was over $700.

Thanks for confirmation I really appreciate it. I'm hoping I can go in one time and get a few things fix at once. Not noticing anything else but maybe the trunk.

no, they will give you the mirrors for that car. if you want the 08+ mirrors you will have to buy them yourself and install.

i'm noticing this issue, i've turned off the "auto-tilt" feature by turning off the lights in the drop down knee control panel, and that works, but when i lock my doors the mirrors move into some weird position...

everytime i get back into my car, i have to manually adjust my mirrors, any help on this? replacing my mirrors seems like a huge waste of money when everything else works (folding, moving mirrors, etc)
