Hello guys,

What intake do you think would be the best for a 09 GS350 AWD? I know F-Sport has their pipe and filter set up for $500 . I was thinking about the Joe Z intake pipe and painting body color. I dunno, any suggestions you guys have would be appreciated and if you know of other kits, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Chris

what ever you do.....DO NOT get the F Sport intake. Its complete garbage and really is a $500 drop in filter with a chrome intake pipe. I have noticed that the motor runs with a higher pitch whine since I replaced the intake. I think its because the pipe is now aluminum and before it was thick rubber and had baffles. Bottom line don't waste your money on the F sport intake

i wouldn't say to the extent F-sports is a garbage, but it is bit overpriced just for tube and drop-in filter. i do like the pipe which looks clean and shiny, and it has a nice growl under wot, not deep, but sportier. sewell had a discount, and i think it was around 250-280? forgot how much i paid, but still costs more than joe Z and drop in filter.. it's a factory item, and that's the whole reason i got one..

I have a K&N and love it. Easy to install, great looking, and has a very nice sound.

honestly, i tried both k&n drop in filter and the mishimoto intake (which is a direct replacement of the air box.

My review

The k&N drop in was surprisingly felt a more responsive then the whole intake from mishimoto.

The mishimoto felt like the car was struggling for air or something when I got on it or when I accelerated. The K&N had a nice response to it, even though it was just a drop in, and thats w/ resetting the ecu with both intakes.

I think later I'm going to go back to the drop in and put a Joe-Z intake tube on it, and see how that goes.

Best advice I'll give you is just get drop in, and later get a intake pipe if you so choose.

I have a K&N Intake Pipe with a Blitz Sonic Power Intake System.......Just got it installed by the dealer still waiting to pick it up sometime next week. Will let you know how it sounds. I use to have the full set up of the K&N and I think it makes a great sound.

most intakes will cause a loss of power especially bottom end torque.. my k&n on my is350 definately showed a loss. Joez intake is the best for the price, if you want one for performance. It will give a sold 5 rwhp and 5 rwtq but not really much more sound. An open intake like the k&n will give a nice grunt if thats all your looking for.

You not gonna see any crazy gains with an intake on any lexus really..

JoeZ for about a hundred bucks is the way to go.

If you get the F sport intake you are giving lexus 390 dollars for a replacement pipe and drop in filter. They even scammed the customers and advertised the intake with a new intake box. We are still waiting and nobody mentioned an update to the part and we are still waiting on the sway bar fix for that matter

I have a K & N cold air intake for my 07 gs350 and it sounds really aggressive and acc. respond really quicker. K & N intake makes difference. I would never go back to stock intake.

Lexus Cold Intake installed 1 week ago; paid $375 installed by dealer. I am pleased for following reason; I use to always drive with the PWR button utilized, and with the cold air intake I have the same benefit without having the PWR engaged and better gas mileage. Currently I am seeing 2 MPG increase (after 2 fillups). When I use the PWR button it gives me that greater "push" I remember when I bought the car.
