I really do miss e-shift from the GS 400 and I like the paddles on the IS...I've used the "sport" and simulated gears on my car but prefer both hands on the wheel.
Sometimes I swear like just doing an IS 350 F-sport.....love that car...
when i drive the gs i really miss the real stick shift in my m3
ok jokes aside, having the paddle shift is one thing, but if it doesn't work well or responsive enough i think it will just end up with disappointment and frustration. playing with the sport shift on the gs350 that's kind of how i feel (compared to some other cars i have driven), i hope that's improved in future lexus

Well the word damned is the only way i can emphasize my frustration through... I just find it ridiculous that there is S-Mode in the car and the driver cant have control.. never experienced this is any of my other cars. Dealership claim that its normal and have no fix for it -_-...
maybe someone can take the IS paddles, and fit it to the GS
but i don't see how paddles would be enjoyable. the shifting is laggy without the dual clutch or the transmission in the ISF
actually for some reason the paddle shift on isf also lags a bit. the upshift is very fast and awesome, but the downshift has some lags. a few isf owners agree with me, i hope that can be improved further in future generations

here is my MIT friend making a new bmw m5 paddled steering wheel work onto his e46 sedan for your inspiration, where two products that totally are not meant for each other work like OEM, it's quite amazing.
He is a genius, but like i said, anything is possible.

Yeah why bother, unless they improve the shifting program (like DSG)!!!
But still now we are the only rear-drive sedan in the line up that do not equipped with paddle-shifter (IS and LS sport both has it), even though is useless... still I want it on my GS too!!!

imho others have it doesn't mean lexus needs to have it though. have it if it's working well, otherwise it becomes another thing for people to complain
