NO, they are NOT! They USED TO BE reliable and quiet cars, and then they got cocky. My first Lexus (2007 GS 450h) has been a HUGE disappointment in terms of hardware integrity (numerous rattles, squeaks, and creaks).

I have not given up on Lexus completely though: just ordered a 2010 GS 450h. My hope is that in four years since the introduction of this model they got the kinks worked out. If that turns out to be a false assumption, it will be a bye-bye Lexus for me as well....

They may be reliable but as far as solid and quiet BMW is far superior.
