yes lots of cars do this to fit big wheels, its not un heard of, you have to shave off some extra threads after the cotter pin.
ya the 245 will clear, i tried a 255 from my rear once and i would have to run a big wheel spacer to get it away from the balljoint nut... i guess its pretty much the same front suspension measurements [spindle height] as the 2nd gen gs my old 22s sit flush at the front, any further out would look stupid.
Its all good i like big wheels myself alot of these guys on here don t really like 22s on the gs however i bought my car 2 years ago drove it from the dealer to the cribb and bolted 22s on it before i even showed anyone my new toy. I was cutting plastic out of the wheel well and trimming the bumper bracket before i put 20 miles on it i was told 22s wouldn t fit by everyone, they lied i hadn t even seen it before! anyway alot of the guys they hate it you can go look at the threads of them commenting on the heavy hitters gs and they love the car even though the entire wheel well has been cut out shaved down and cut off and it has 22s and rides like a go kart but never the less it looks ridiculous!

ya im the same way, making them fit aint the problem. its bending them and loosin air and gettin flats that kills me.
i do tinted front window in every ride I have, so tinted fronts, driving in rain at night = smashing pot holes = you better run the cheapest set of tires known to man so its cheap to replace when you get babies.
after a while you cant even repair the rim anymore, after you repair it 2-3 times they become soft as butter and basically are worthless, that was my experience anyways.
i still want to run 22s on the new lexus I get, nothing like rollin 22s with a big lip. the asanti elts are ****in bad ass.
IMO you have a very nice and flush setup! ME LIKEY!!! your wheels sit nice but dont seem oversized, then again to each his own. but i truly love those wheels. nice job

Too big for a 3GS, looks like a Luxury Tonka car. I could see it fly on SUV's like an Escalade, Range, Denali etc. But not on a Lexus GS. But its whatever you like that matters most.
escalades and denalis get 26s and the range gets 24s lexus Ls 460s get24s gs22s and civics get 20s
You first need to work on your grammar . And if you ever put 20's on a civic then you will get royally flamed by everyone with common sense And its called proportion, yes the GS comes stock with 17 & 18's, but with 22's you would need a kit and a proper drop to make the wheels look proportional to the rest of the body. Putting on 22's on such a car is like implanting double DD's on a girl who's 5'2 and weighs 90lbs

i like short girls with huge tits =] i'm not feeling the 22s tho, props for being different tho lkapimp =]
damn, my gs just turned into a civic...i think i got screwed on this deal. lol
honestly, i think 21's are the best looking on our car. the only problem is that they do not make tires that will fit without major modification, otherwise that is what i would have gone with. 22's just don't give you enough rubber to protect the wheel, especially in an area such as the dc metro that does not have the best roads. i have a picture of my wheel in 22" that shattered on 495. guy had it on an audi a8 with a 20 profile.
