Default Best winter tires for GS430 in Chicago?

I am looking to get some 18 inch winter tires for my stock rims. What are your recommendations? I live in Chicago and think that winter tires will help out.

I put a set of 17" Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 performance winter tires on last November. It was the best thing I could do for the car last winter in New England. Well worth the investment. I do believe this tire comes in the appropriate 18" size.

I have the Alina PA3 Tires that where new last year from Michelin. They are okay but really there is no perfect snow tire. They did the job and I also have a GS430. I put them on the OEM 18" rims. Also in Chicago myself

Be careful with 17" rims on the GS430, it has the OEM larger front BBK and most 17" rims wont clear.

Last year I installed Blizzaks on my AWD GS for a Western PA winter. I spun a wheel once....for less than a foot on a steep incline. Good performance overall.

I am just thinking that Blizzaks may be a little to loud on dry roads here in Chicago. We get snow anywhere from 5-8 per year. Just trying to get a nice set that will get me thru the snow but will also be a pleasant to drive the rest of the time.
