Very nice clean setup. My friend was driving around with a laser jammer passing a highpatrol at maybe 75 in a 65 zone. Officer couldn't detect his speed still pulled him over told him i know u got a laser jammer. You have 2 options rip out the wires in front of me and ill let you go or i am towing you're car and having it checked at the police mechanic station for it. So honestly it is not legal you are basiclly taking money from the government because if everyone does this then who is gonna pay the high patrol and state troopers?
In Florida these are legal. That said, some cops may not know and may give you trouble - in this instance I would call a lawyer on the spot - they can't dismantle your car without a permit and they know that. Usually to avoid the situation you described, what I do is slow down after the laser alarm goes off and then switch off the jammer so he can get a speed reading within the posted limit. Typically with a laser gun they often don't get an immediate reading because of range, laser beam absorption, refraction, etc. Black cars are difficult for laser anyway. So as long as you switch it off, they get a reading as you get closer and just assume they had a range issue on your vehicle.
$2200 for parts and labor but not including sales tax.
Wow that is an awesome setup!

Tons of work yikes

Fantastic looking setup. Let us know how well it works. I had been concerned about having the radar unit mounted that low, but these guys appear to be real professionals, so hopefully it's as good as the quality of the installation.

Yeah I was concerned about mounting it that low too. But I spoke with another guy who has a GS350 with a similar system, and he said he got bad reception in the grille on ka band, but good reception low down. And the escort rep as well as a bunch of forum guys said either go low or high. So i went low.
Will let you know how it performs. Only drive 3 days a week due to work travel, so will take some time before I can report on it.
I dont think these units are compared to a radar you mount in the car. Every one of these I have seen are mounted in similar spots so I am sure this is the best spot/location.
My radar, V1, they say to mount it as high as possible. I had the same radar, not the stealth unit, and I got annoyed with the voice and it talking to me. The RedLight camera feature is pretty neat.
So what does the rearview mirror do on your set up? Looks like the light on your center cluster flashes with radar warning right?

The cluster light flashes with the warning. The mirror gives you radar band and signal strength, it can also show multiple bands and signal strengths like a spectrum analyzer.
I actually like the voice warnings, but you can switch them off if you don't like them. You can pretty much turn any feature you don't like off.
The guys who do this also do custom installs of the V1 where you get the arrows in the mirror, the on-off and volume on the dash, and they conceal the antenna in the overhead console. V1 plus Laser Interceptor is probably an even more popular choice since a lot of people love the arrows on the V1. I found V1 too noisy around Miami because it doesn't filter known falses. From a sensitivity point I found them about the same (I had a V1 previously so I tested in parallel before selling it)

Hey Batman,
I've been using similar setup for about a year now, and have to say this thing have already paid for itself. I chose windshield mounted 9500i + ZR4(controlled by 9500i). The windshield unit is hardwired (cable runs through mirror), and front jammers are in the same spot that yours, but mounted deep inside of the bumper for better protection from racks, and other crap that hits my car during pursuit. They are hardly visible when you stand in front of the car, but work exactly like they should (proven). I decided not to install rear jammer for two reasons. First, it is very bulky, and brings extra attention when followed by a cop. Second, I had tech difficulties running cable from the trunk. It seems all wires run through some kind of "rollup" cable, and there is no other way (if you want clean install) to run it. I didn't feel like taking that thing apart, so I decided to skip it. It would be great, if you could take some close up pics of the trunk install, and post them here... Isn't your front radar unit installed too low? I was told such installs may result in late warnings, and tickets . Also, I've noticed your control unit is hidden in coin holder. Do you have easily accessible (1-2secs) mute button for quick switching to 'receive only mode'? If you don't then watch out. Those guys may get very upset once they find out you're jamming them. I've heard many brutal stories, and don't wish anybody going through it.
Cheers,

Wow thats awesome but equally wow is the cost it would take at least 8 tix to justify the cost lol. I rarely get speeding tix mostly because i stopped speeding in the city (maybe go 5-8 over) and save all my speeding for the street raceing thats done late at night on a empty hwy some where. I also rarely encounter laser here my radar has picked it up only a handful of times. Let us know how it works and if it saves you from getting a ticket.
Not 2k but more like $2350 or $2400 after tax That's hefty bill but I guess he's got the $$$.
Gosh, even worse! The ROI just isn't there on that investment. At least not for me. I guess there is no ROI on anything we do to our cars so no biggie. If you got the loot, go for it! OP apparently does. Sweet install nonetheless.

It's not the ticket's that are the expensive part, it's the bumped insurance premiums. If he's in an urban area with high premiums to begin with, I'd bet it pays for itself in 2 or 3 tickets, especially if they are cumulative.

That's right. In Miami Beach a cost of a ticket is $400, plus a $300 per year increase in insurance for each ticket. So if the points stay on your license for three years, you can do the math, it will cost around $1300. A 4 point ticket would be more like $1600. 3 tickets and I made my money back.
Also the convenience of being pulled over less often is huge!

I can reach the mute button quite easily. The other option would be to mount it in the ash tray but I didn't like the idea of putting it there, I preferred it on the left.
Regarding the trunk mounted jammer, as you say there is an integrated cable for all Lexus electronics, so you need to create your own cable path. What they did is use some armored cabling and mounted it along the door jams. It looks very clean as if it were factory. I'll take a pic and show you.
