Isn't the Vaistech more for iPods? What if someone has other devices such as smartphones?

i think they are more about ipod/xm/sirius/video

other smartphones, what standard you talking about? BT? if so, they don't have it yet. their reason is the sound quality isn't good enough

Well smartphones have their own music players / online radio streaming.

This was what I had in mind for my setup:

I buy a car charger-> MicroUSB to charge my phone + 3.5mm RCA cable from Aux -> phone.


But if I wanted to get a Vaistech, would I even need it? or is my setup enough? I mean I do have an ipod, but I find it more convenient just using 1 device.

i don't know exactly if that will work. with vaistech, you get an ipod cable so you can charge your ipod/iphone and play everything through it. but of course it's pretty much only for apple products for that matter

yeah i have the auxiliary input along with another lighter plug in the center console. i wish i had usb. lol it would be nice to sync it with the headunit in the car but after research i believe its only 2010 and up models ='(
