^ Yep. I just grabbed then with my fingers and pulled and a little twist. The L logo was on there a little better so I (very carefully) goo a pair of needle nose plyers and pulled from the center of the L and just just came. Most take off emblems with dental floss or fishing line. Mine didnt need that much work but that is what I have done in the past with other cars.

Thanks for posting this passnu2. I was considering de-badging and was unaware of the holes. I now like my "badging".

so I am torn here...

I really like the black emblem on the rear of the car. I mean I really like it (LOL)...

So I got to see a pic sent to my phone with the front all together with all pieces painted black. The emblem is still chrome and I kind of like it as you can see it and now the more I think about it the black emblem on the front you wont see and may look kind of cheap?? Only down fall is then I think I need to change the rear back to Chrome....or I could get the black pearl for the 2 L emblems?

What are your thoughts???

Personally, I think the lone chrome L would look very neat on the trunk. Nice contrast with the red. I was curious of how you were going to make the other L badging come together. It's your creation, maybe give some time and think it out before you make another change. I really like the de-badge and wish those d*mn holes weren't there! Good luck.

finally got the car back. The member that painted everything for me has taken pics of my car and 2 of his. I am going to let them post since they are probably better pics. I have the font L chrome and the back still black. I havent decided what I am going to do. My options are (1) leave it as is (2) change the rear back to chrome (YUCK) (3) change both to a black pearl. Either way it came out great and I couldnt be happier with how it looks

Sorry for the long delay in responding. Yes, the new dealer supplied rear emblems (LEXUS & GS300) for my GS300 indeed came with adhesive on them. Make sure to clean the paint surface well (and remove wax) before mounting them. Then re-wax around the emblems.

when i was visiting my sis in cali, we were in a parking lot at cerritos and some guy had the black pearl emblem on the rear... Looked REALLY good.. i just got my trunk debadged, painted, and the holes from the spoiler filled as well. You forgot to mention that the emblem is slightly raised.. the metal has an indent to bring the emblem up above the rest of the trunk a little..

You were right, it looks weird with the trunk being all bare.. Im gonna slap my black chrome L i had laying around back on and hopefully itll make it look right..

So what are you putting in place of the spoiler? was it to cover so you can go aftermarket or just have no spoiler?

Yea I'm sorry I forgot about the L area being raised. Was it that noticeable?
