Default Lexus Projector Fog Lights?

I was wondering if you guys knew any places that sell Fog Light 9006 Retrofits for the Lexus GS 3G that are projectors (like our low beams)?

This is what I'm afraid of when i install the HID conversion kit with this horrendous beam pattern....

(Keep in mind its not a Lexus but just an illustration of the caveats of installing HID into Halogen fog light fittings)

This is what I'd like my beam pattern to look like, nice and clean and more effective at lighting the road which is what I originally intended...

I saw this on the Clublexus IS Forum, but it looks way out of my league for DIY
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...tor-retro.html

This is ONLY fogs

Just headlights

Both headlights and fogs, OMG look how bright it looks!

Lol, where did you get that 1st picture from, you are not going to got a beam pattern like the 1st pic if you install HID in the GS OEM fog light housing.

Hahah, sorry G-Man I tried googling "9006 projector fog hid" and I tried to give examples. I don't know exactly what the beam pattern will look like for the GS after the HID installation, hopefully it won't look this fugly.... Maybe I'm just being too ****....

The link for the IS DIY retrofit has great pictures.

Anyone have a link to a picture of the Lexus GS 3g beam pattern after HID fog light conversion installation?

Inertia,
you can always acquire the parts you need and then send it into a professional retrofitter who will retrofit it to your desire and send it back. However, it's pretty costly (Roughly 200-300 in labor is what retrofitters usually charge), and for fog lights, maybe not entirely worth it

I have my fogs aimed pretty low, and I pointed them slightly angled towards the outside, so that they illuminate the road edges and foreground well. As such, I don't find it to be a particularly functional mod, as I usually don't drive in inclement weather situations which would warrant their use. Point of this being that if you want truly functional foglights, you might be paying a lot for something that isn't that useful (since it's aimed so low).

Of course, you can always cheat and aim them high to compliment your driving lights. For such applications, you should try to fit a small full-sized projector like the TSX in the fog housings. Mini projectors like the one I used do a fantastic job as fog lights, but they would not work well as headlight projectors because they're too small and limited in width and intensity.

This guy stuffed some huge projectors in his IS fog lights.

This person also put some pretty big projectors in his fogs.

Just to give you some ideas. Fogs aren't supposed to help you see down the road- it just so happens to be the case when people put hid kits in halogen reflectors because it shoots the light all over the place.

Good luck!

last known price from carson toyota last year is US $1,989 + shipping. it is probably a little bit higher now. takes about 2 months to arrive - slow boat from japan. expect to pay a lot more if you want it faster (air freight).
