Default Flasher Location

Can someone, anyone plese post pictures of the service manual page(s) that show the turn signal flasher pinout and location? I am looking to do a DIY on how to replace it with an LED module to reduce flash rate, for those of us who have replaced their turn signals....

Load resistors are just a heat source so I'm looking to do this the right way....
any pics or comments welcomed.

Lee

Sorry about bringing back the old thread, but did you ever find the flasher location?

Thanks. So, where is it located and how did you get to it?

Here's a screen shot and I've also attached a PDF that might help. K25 is the flasher.

Thank you very much.
So, correct me if I am wrong, but the easiest way to get to it is to pull out the instrument cluster and its right behind it. Also, do you have a list of all other relays in this picture?

It certainly appears that way. You can also try to look from the footwell area to see if you can shine some light and see if you can see it or not.

Download the PDF that I attached and you'll see a legend to all.

Got it, thanks.

So, before I rip the instrument cluster out, is there anybody out there who had done the flasher relay replacement? How do you get to the darn thing?

No need to remove anything. It was a bit of a limbo maneuver for sure, but I was able to reach up behind the dash and make the switch. You'll need a flashlight and plenty of patience, but it certainly beats pulling the dash apart.

Is it easy to replace the front blinkers? I know the rear blinkers are real easy to replace

Okay, I replaced the turn signal light bulbs with LEDs and also replaced the relay. My turn signals blink at normal rate, but when I lock/unlock the car it still beeps, but the 4-ways don't blink anymore. Is this a collateral damage?

This is a known side effect of the LED blinker bulbs and flasher unit swap and the only thing that has kept me from doing it as well.

Thank you for the quick response. I guess, I can live without the alarm blink. The LED turn signals look really cool, so I am willing to sacrifice the blink.

VLED claims that parking 4led flash confirmation works with this flasher.... does it work on the GS?
