Paper stuck in cup holder cover strorage area
Somehow I now have a piece of paper that is stuck in the area to the left of the cupholder (next to the gear shift) where the cupholder cover retracts into. It is interfering with the normal retraction of the cupholder lid. There does not appear to be a way of removing it short of removing the entire wood looking trim piece that surrounds the gearshift, cup holder and ash tray. Is that what I need to do? If so can someone give me (or point me to) specific instructions to accomplish this? Even removing the gearshift **** looks hard (no lock nut holding it in place). I also dont see any fasteners holding the wood trim piece in place. Thanks in advance.

it's real easy to remove the wood trim...first pop out the piece right under the ash tray...use a flat screw driver but make sure you tape along the edges of wood trim and also the flat screw driver also...pop it off from each end...than put your gear into DRIVE with engine off. Than twist the shift **** and take it off....after that pull on each side of the wood trim on the end where the middle console meets..there's two latch that holds it...the two leather trim on each side is also hold buy a screw and some latches...you will see it.
