Default $$ for a stock Lexus rear bumper?

I guess its a follow-up question from my paint color question... but how much do they cost? just a ball park figure,

once again, i have a 06 lexus gs300.

i got into an accident and i need my rear bumper replaced... and i just wanna see if im not getting ripped off by the bodyshop and insurance company.

Labor will vary, but i just want the bumper price (w/ or w/o paint)

thanks alot guys.

best way to find out is to call several dealers

should only be a few hundred dollars painted

since you need a new bumper anyway, why not just upgrade to the 08-09 style bumper. looks like it's $25 cheaper

this place seems cheaper than the above link

he only needs the rear bumper cover.

the 06-07 grille should be able to fit inside the 08-09 front bumper

pretty sure.

the grille looks identical on all 3GS, and the same Blitz grille fits 2006-2009. That would mean the clips/screws are identical.

why are you paying for the work?....sounds like you were rear-ended...that's the other person's fault....who cares how much it costs? Tell the insurance company you are getting it fixed by whoever it is you think will do the best job.

of course im not paying. but the damage was so minimal, NO body or frame damage, THe appraiser came out and gave me an estimate and i got the check already for the amt. So what im trying to do is, install it myself or maybe just try to find a way so that i can benefit from this accident.. other than lawsuit or injury claim...

it is amazing how the lady just ripped off my bumper.

i probably need screws and holders.. but other than that, everything else is fine.

you guys are paying pretty cheap for paint. my buddy works at a high end body shop and they wanted around 800 bucks to repaint my whole rear bumper and fix scuff marks in the bumper. i went to the body shop my local dealer uses and its gonna cost me 580 to get my rear bumper fixed and painted.

i just got rear ended not long ago... insurance bill came out to be a bit less than 900

bumper itself was fairly cheap, like $250? but i am sure that's whole sale price

that's about right for the bumper cover alone.

that's about how much Longo collision center charges. They have a pretty good shop. Try them if you're close by.

you peeps in philly get ripped off. $800 just to paint a bumper? yeah, if he put on scratch-dent-proof paint and included a lifetime guarantee. otherwise, what a rip off.

maybe it's all regional. i guess here in socal competition is much higher? 800 to fix and repaint, that's really expensive (and a shop can only be so high end)

insurance claims, that sounds about right. i like to get the check too, coz' then i can usually get things fixed for cheaper

getting rear ended shouldn't increase your premium, it's not your fault. our sc430 was rear ended and fixed (total everything was like 5k) and our premium never got higher
