Thanks for the info, but I think I would not have any problem with my rear break because I have the Rotora BBK.....haha

Meh - I wish this would somehow include fixing my dash rattles. Since it's been so cold in NY lately my car once again sounds like a Buick Skyhawk. Actually. worse...

Is the fuel rail replacement a big job? I have an IS250; but you are the only person I've found that has already had it replaced. It appears they need to remove the "surge tank" (upper black plastic intake) but do they need to remove the lower (aluminum) intake as well?

Wow, it's sure good everyone got a GS instead of an XF because they are so much more reliable. ;-)

Well it sounds like you were in and out in a few hours then? If that's the case it doesn't sound too difficult.

Wow!!!

That's really sux for Lexus.

They have already replaces my brake pads last May.

Another issue - EXTREMELY annoying squealing breaks!
Lexus confirmed the issue and already two months trying to get a new front rotors (that causing this problem) well still waiting on those until Lexus gets them in stock

And now this?

Hmmmmmm

I don't see what the big deal is. Other manufacturers would just deny the problem exists, and maybe do a "goodwill" fix if you really brew up a storm. I had to pull teeth at Honda in order to fix some things on my 03 Pilot, and some TSBs were only for the US (even though the car is 99.9% the same spec), which they were reluctant to fix. Although the Pilot was one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned, Honda was not too keen on doing anything in terms of improving customer experience. They wouldn't even drive me back to work, let alone give a loaner car...
Here, Lexus is fixing a potential problem that might not ever appear. Mine has had none of them performed, and I don't plan to do any of the fixes unless the problem actually appears.
I say Lexus is just showing why buying a Lexus gives you the whole experience; not just the product. Kudos to them.

i posted about this almost 3 weeks ago. its not a big deal. take your car in, drop it off and it only takes about 2 hours to fix everything.

If you had the fuel rail replaced they say you will still have to replace it. the new one is made of something different. stock was aluminum and the ethanol would eat at them. from the notes he showed me it should take about 3-4 hrs on a 250 to replace.

I'm dropping mine off at the dealership Monday. They said it might take anywhere from 2-4 days. Brake parts, something with the fuel line...I believe it was 3 issues.

It's a recall, they should throw in a full detail

Here is the response from my dealership:

Dear Stephen,

In regards to your inquiry, the most recent Lexus service campaigns 9LA, 9LB, and 9LC do apply to your 2006 GS300 according to the VIN # you have provided. Service campaign 9LA is a different campaign than the one that was sent out in 2007. The fuel injection line is made up of different components and the fuel delivery pipe is a different part than the part that was changed previously. Based on the VIN # provided and the VIN # range for the service campaign 9LB your vehicle does need the rear brake caliper inspection and possible replacement even if noise is not heard from the brakes at this time. In 2006 the power steering gear unit was replaced due to a service campaign. Service campaign 9LC does require the Electric Power Steering Assembly (EPS) to be replaced. Although gradual increase in the steering is not noticeable at this time it is possible in the future; therefore, Lexus is requiring replacement of the EPS assembly at this time. I have gone ahead and ordered the parts required for these repairs for you. We will inform you once these parts have come in via phone, email and/or mail. Please feel free to contact me via phone or email if you have any questions or concerns and/or when you are ready to schedule an appointment with Ronni.

We thank you for servicing your vehicle with Herb Chambers Lexus.
As always we appreciate your business and we’re looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Looks like I have to have all three done. At least they are paying for it.
