GS300/350 AWD staggered wheels/tires?

Just do 8.5x20 or 9x20 all around with staggered offsets. Shouldn't have an effect on the drivetrain or anything. I guess as long as your running the same tire all around the car shouldn't act any different as if it was on stocks.
But yeah, anything under 1% I really doubt you will feel or see a difference.

AWD can accept staggered setup, as long as the diameter remains constant. i am running 235/35/20's on a 8.5" wheel up front, and 275/30/20's on a 10" rear. i believe that the shop told me this keeps the diameter within a few hundreths of an inch. i have the paperwork in the car - i will try to post that info later, which includes %variation from stock as well as revs/mi and speedo differences. i have noticed that i get less gas mileage due to this setup, by 3-5mpg. overall not a big deal since i still get right around 400mi per tank. i do have slight rubbing issues though, but i believe that a heat gun may solve my problem. i can post pics if you like.

I was thinking about trying 235/35 (f) with the same size rears or 245/30 (f) and 285/25 (r). If you're lucky to find them or if Dunlop decides to make them again, the SP Sport 9000 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 with Tanabe NF210's worked fantastic with minimal rubbing. Currently, the Sumitomo's I have are okay but I'd rather have 285/30 in the rear.
I've been rolling my AWD on a staggered and lowered setup for approximately 12k miles and 3 1/2 years.

any vibration issues with the springs? i picked up the BC coils last month (i have yet to install though). i'm a little worried, but i can shave as needed if i come across any major rubbing. as to the tires - i had wanted to go with nitto 555's, i think they are great for the money, but i wanted a tire that i could rotate from side to side. unfortunately, the tires i purchased are directional as well. i think that you are going a little slim with the 25 sieries tire in the rear. i definitely like having the extra rubber, even with the potential issues. i only rub when i have people in the back seat and am going over a large bump. this can be fixed with a little work with a heat gun i imagine. we shall see what needs to be done one i have the coils in and the drop where i want it. have any pics? like to see how yours turned out.

The pros to using the 30/25 profiles is that the rolling diameter will match the stock rolling diameter. The 35/30 profile is approximately 0.7" larger than the stock rolling diameter. The cons to these tire sizes is that the front tire (245/30/20 or 255/30/20) load rating specification (from most if not all mfg's) is less than the Lexus GS load rating specification. This could result in an increased potential of wheel/tire damage versus a tire that has a load rating that is equal to or greater than the Lexus specification.

This is a great thread... I have a 2005 AWD Lexus RX. Bought a set of Work LS105's 21x9+26 21x10+39. They are sitting in the hallway right now cause I am hearing so much mixed info about all this. My brain is much from number's and offset, tires and DAMAGE rumor overload.
I would so like to wear these wheels on the car, do a 1.5" drop and get some medium height profile tires. If I am going to do this and do it right, I figure I need two tires for the front and a diff. set for the rear?

after some searching around. found a site with a tire calculator and these are the sizes I came up with that matched the stock wheel as close as possible, was off by like a point something. but overall was pretty much spot on, front 245/30/20-8.5 rear 285/25/20-10.0 now the actual fitting on the car is the next thing i.e shaving, pulling modding as to not rub

Will this staggered setup work? If or if not, what issues will I run into?

Is your car lowered? If so, you will have to roll your fenders just a little bit. Don't put those tires on your car, it will either mess with your AWD system and i don't think the load index is appropriate. Make sure the rims will fit/clear over your front brake calipers. As for tires, I'd probably run 235/35-19 and 265/30-19, which will be a mild stretch.

Considering using staggered rim on my 06 GS300 AWD
I know many local 2IS and GS owners that are staggered and have not had one problem. Just make sure your over all rolling diameter is as close as possible.
Take all the variables that play a roll in this. Each tire has a variance on it, your tires have a variance, your tires wear uneven. Your car is designed to work with this. Its never going to be perfect.
For instance here is my tire set up on staggered:
255/30-20 Front
Sidewall - 3.0"
Radius - 13.0"
Diameter - 26.0"
circumference - 81.1"
revs/mile - 775
295/25-20
Sidewall - 2.9"
Radius - 12.9"
Diameter - 25.8"
circumference - 81.1"
revs/mile - 781

USING FACTORY NOW BUT
size is 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5
bolt 5x114.3
offset front is 30mm and rear is 35mm
centerbore is 73.1
please help any info is appreciated

Use a tire calculator https://tiresize.com to verify the height of the tires before buying. For awd its important to have the front and rear total height matching with about 5-10% difference is fine. Anything different from that range and you will trip the awd warning and may destroy you clutchs in the diff or transfer bias.
Going for a 30 thick wall height, in the front will give a stiffer ride and be bad for potholes if your area is has bad roads. 30 for the rear is fine as its not felt as bad.
